The Challenge

Launch a product in 6 weeks that makes the life of Fleet Managers easier.

Fleet Manager App

DAF Trucks, the largest truck manufacturer in the Netherlands, was looking for a way to make the lives of their customers’ Fleet Managers easier on the short run.

User Experience centric development approach

Team Resilience started off with a 1-week design sprint, following Google Ventures’ format. Putting real end users central, we gained insight into requirements and priorities for the Fleet Managers quickly. We closed the week with agreement of the outline of the product by testing prototypes for the agreed scope with the end users.

Following up on the design sprint, Team Resilience performed 2 development sprints. In those 2 sprints, again in close corporation with the end users, the product and the required integrations into DAF’s landscape, have been delivered and tested.

The development team that created this product in 6 weeks consisted of a UX Designer, a Tech Lead and 2 new OutSystems developers, freshly graduated from our own OutSystems Academy. The team worked closely with end users and DAF’s product management team and well as DAF’s infrastructure teams in order to integrate into DAF’s systems landscape.
