Interfood is the key connector between supply and demand in the dairy market. Communication with their partners was happening via email and phone, meaning they spent a lot of valuable time on administration. So together, we built a customer portal and back office running on a single source of truth leading to significant savings every year.

To answer key questions, we brought together experts from all disciplines, setting up a Design Sprint. In 5 days of workshops we found the answers to those questions and set a clear goal for the future. At the end of the Sprint, Interfood’s partners got a firsthand look at what was coming through a prototype—and their reactions were glowing.

Every day, Interfood’s partners receive an update on their outstanding tasks. This way, they always know exactly what needs to be done, ensuring nothing gets overlooked.
Excel files full of data converted with a single click
Manually entering data from Excel files—such as lactose and fat percentages—used to be a time-consuming task. Now, partners can bulk-upload the correct values themselves, which are then automatically linked to the corresponding order. This makes work significantly faster and reduces the risk of errors.
A back-office with a remarkable user experience
The data shared in Connect is managed and validated by Interfood in Document Library. The back-office has the same attention to detail and usability as the customer facing portal. Since Connect and Document Library pull data from the same source, both parties are always aligned.

No more digging through your inbox. With Document Library, all order details and related documents are in one central location, with filters like partner name, product type, and date. Everything you need, right where you need it!
Streamlined document validation with version control
In the food industry, speed is critical. To allow for early preparations, Interfood distinguishes between draft and final documents, keeping them clearly separated in Document Library. This way, no time is wasted waiting for all information to be ready, and you always have the latest version at hand.
Results
Both apps are now live for Interfood’s EU hub. The positive feedback and demand for additional features prove its success. Connect has already been successfully rolled out to suppliers, customers, and warehouses. The next big step? Developing features to support communication with Interfood’s transport partners.
